The Moissanite Terminator is used to identify artificial moissanite gemstones and other man made / synthetic gemstones. By placing the testing probe onto the centre of the gemstone,a beeping noise and a flashing green light will indicate a moissanite gem. Real gemstones will not indicate when using the MK II tester. In order to identify natural diamonds a diamond tester such as the Mizar Series II or a Ceres diamond tester must be used. Takes a 9V battery (supplied). Auto shutoff after 90 seconds. Made in U.S.A.
