Delivery Charges, Delivery Times & Carriers or Couriers (Including for hazardous goods)

I know delivery charges aren’t always ideal.

We send orders worldwide using trusted couriers with tracking and insurance, and the price depends on things like weight, contents, and delivery location. That means the cost at checkout is tailored to your order rather than a flat fee.

Fast delivery/Same Day Despatch

All orders received by Cousins are despatched the same working day with carrier pick up at 5pm (4pm for DHL). Your live order status can be seen in the "my orders" section of your dashboard along with your tracking details once they have been generated.

Delivery Charges

Our delivery fees are calculated based on several factors, including the overall weight of your order, the delivery address, and the nature of the items in your basket.

For larger orders (over 100kg), a freight quote may be necessary. You have the option to request a freight quote directly from your shopping basket for such items.

Hazardous goods

Cousins has several agreements in place with specified carriers to deliver hazardous goods, including lithium batteries & fluids, both in the UK and internationally. Hazardous goods are identified on our website and in your basket. Unfortunately there are some countries we cannot deliver hazardous goods too and there are certain carriers (such as Royal Mail) who will not take hazardous goods. This will be explained in your basket.

International Delivery

Cousins deliver to over 120 countries worldwide. Simply log in, add items to your basket, and proceed to the checkout. At this point, you will be presented with various delivery choices and corresponding costs tailored to your selected items and delivery destination.

For heavy orders or for items that are delivered on a pallet, you will have the option in your basket of submitting a freight quote. Once we have received this, you will receive a shipping quotation in the "my quotes" section of your dashboard withing 24 hours.

International Customs

Please contact your local customs office who will be able to confirm any customs questions you may have, including your local customs fees & duty rates.

The Cousins system is directly electronically linked to all Couriers (including Royal Mail). Without providing them with the relevant customs information “up front” we are unable to create your address label and customs invoice which is attached to the outside of your delivery. The information requested includes commodity codes, countries of origin and values all of which are on the outside of the parcel. We are also advised that the Couriers also electronically passed all the relevant information to the customs border in advance.

EU (European Union) Small Parcel Tax

For orders to the European Union using the IOSS system, the European Union have introduced a new “small parcel tax”.

This is:

  • Set by the EU
  • Charged per product type (commodity code) in your order

These charges will be collected by your local post office prior to your delivery.
