Lacquering clocks has been a popular practice from the late 17th century and is widely used throughout the world by clock makers and restorers. When finishing clock embellishments or cases, lacquer adds a traditional look and subsequently raises the value to the piece. Additionally lacquering maintains the surface of the piece for a prolonged period of time.

We supply a range of different coloured lacquers to apply on alternative surfaces. Use a fine lacquering brush when applying the solution to ensure a consistent finish, removing any possibility of irregular marks, lines or bubbles (please see below for the full selection of brushes).

The Silver Clear Lacquer is popular with Jewellers, model makers, metal artists etc; notably so for its resistance against oxidization on silver picture frames and brass door embellishments, etc.
