Clock mainspring winder comprises frame and crank with reversible ratchet device, 3 hooks and one double pin post for coiling spring to desired diameter before fitting. (Vice not included).

- For clock mainsprings for French & German clocks
- Uses the barrel arbor to wind the mainspring
- With pawl to ensure winding in either direction
- Distance between arbor and support is 19mm (see additional image)

Instructions for use:
- Hook the centre (inside) of the mainspring to the centre shaft arbor
- Hook the outside (the end) of the mainspring to the top shaft support
- Begin to wind in the direction required, lightly pushing down the top shaft to support the coils being formed
- Wind to desired diameter, gradually increasing the force on the top shaft to keep the forming coils tight
- Slide the clock barrel over the coiled mainspring
