Longcase Clock Winding Arbour Bushes
Winding arbour bushes are designed to be used for repairing badly worn plates on antique Longcase & Bracket clocks, particularly around the large holes at the bottom of the plates where the winding arbours are located. The bushes are manufactured from yellow riveting Brass which gives a very close match to the original cast plates. Machined with a slight taper on the outside diameter, the bushes can be driven into a precisely drilled hole, riveted over, then filed and polished out to give a near invisible repair. The 3mm hole is only a pilot to enable the repairer to drill and broach to the exact size required, this is also useful if the plates have been centre punched in the past, as the repairer can use a larger bush, to remove the punched up part of the plate.

- Bushes on average will come up slightly oversize
