This non-toxic clay maintains the same high quality and assurance as traditional Art Clay, but with several added benefits. It's 60% stronger and tougher compared to traditional Art Clay and offers a slower drying time for a longer working period. By combining the best elements of other Art Clay formulas, this new clay provides an exceptional experience. The mixture is ready to use without any need for mixing, and its soft, smooth consistency makes it easy to work with. Once fired, the binder burns out, leaving behind a sterling silver piece with .950 purity that can be hallmarked.
- This product can only be kiln-fired, not torch-fired.
- Guidelines are to heat up to 500°C (932°F) for 30 minutes to burn off the binder
- Increasing the temperature to 870°C (1598°F) for 60 minutes to sinter the metal particles
- This clay does not require carbon for firing
- Shrinkage rate of 10-13%
