Ammonium Hydrosulphide
Silver Oxidation/Aging Chemical - Ammonium Hydrosulphide A most common silver aging fluid used by traditional silversmiths How to make up:
- 1 part ammonium hydrosulphide to 4 parts water (by volume)
- At temperature 18 to 60 celsius
- Time 30 seconds to 2 minutes
- Colour: for darker shades use 1 to 3 parts for medium shades are produced in 30 seconds
- For best results parts should be clean when immersed in this solution
- A tank with polythene, pvc or rubber lined steel is ideal
- A heater is not required but an extraction is necessary
