There is usually a 2mm taper reduction from the case fitting to the buckle. There can be a greater taper on certain strap ranges usually for expensive, older Swiss watches (such as old Omega’s & Rolex’s) to allow the original buckle to be fitted.
Sizes & Lengths:
Whilst there will be slight variations between manufacturers the following lengths can be used as a guide. Ladies sizes are generally 15mm & below. Overall length of both sections excluding buckle:
