Heavy Duty Bolt Cutter High Tensile

This Faithful Tool Quality Bolt Cutter is suitable for cutting a wide range of materials such as gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, brass, mild steel, semi-hard steel, hard steel, non ferrous metals, reinforcing bars, spring wire, wrought iron and stainless steel.

The jaws/blades of these Bolt Cutters are made of heavily alloyed steel that are entirely drop forged giving a hardened blade able to withstand heavy use. The ground cutting edge is subjected to a second hardening process for maximum hardness of the cutting edge. The handles are full forged in a ribbed selection alloy steel of a very high elastic limit.

Anti-rust finish with bright nickel plated handles and fully treated chemically anti glare blacked cutting jaws. The essential features of all Maun cutting nippers are the accuracy of the cutting edges and the quality of the steel and heat treatment.

The compound lever design gives good mechanical advantage, allowing the plier to cut piano wire with handle loads significantly less than conventional forged pliers of equilalent size.

The original Irwin Gilbow cutting snips were first designed in 1924 and have dominated the sheet metal cutting industry to such an extent that today, snips and shears are referred to as "Gilbows".

These Irwin Gilbow cutting snips have accurately ground edges that ensure the material being cut does not slip out of the jaws and become damaged. The hollow ground jaw faces provide a longer life to the cutting edge.

Gilbow cutters are jointed with a nut and bolt design essential in ensuring the longest possible life of the joint, whilst keeping a good easy smooth cutting movement.

Irwin Gilbow snips and shears have a great cutting capability which is much greater than the strength of the user and will provide a good, clean, easy cut edge to any work piece.
